Well, I walked today. I officially have my BS in Physics. Go Team Me. Of course, mucho thanks has to go out to everyone who helped me in this somewhat hellish process. I'm also back in Nashville for a brief period as I transition to the next stage. Anyway, I think I'm gonna go eat now.

So I'm back. UConn was a nice school. I kinda liked it. I could see myself going there. Unfortunately, they don't have any that I would want to study. I had fun. I did karaoke, which was fun as always. I did it sober too, which is unusual for me. I met some cool people, including a girl whose brother does Security at Comic-Con, so I'll see if I can make a connection there so I can get in cheap/free. Other than that I didn't have a bad time. Although, it was pretty cold.

Well, I'm off to Hartford, CT for a graduate school tour of UConn, where it will be very cold. I can't even be comfortable while I'm there. I'm going to be stuck in a suit all weekend. I'm reminded of Dean Martin's song "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Well, that's the price we pay for such savage kicks.

I feel tired. I'm tired of this vacation. I want to go back to doing something more meaningful. Granted, school doesn't exactly cut it, but there is a goal behind it. And just being here is kinda disheartening really.

My mom has a sinus infection behind her right eye. She'll be going into surgery for it in a couple of weeks. Of course, the doctors say everything should go smoothly, but at the same time they acknowledge the fact that things could go bad. Especially if the infection decides to move, because the only place it'll go will be her brain. I'll admit, I'm a bit scared. Yes, the odds are in her favor, but still. That small piece of badness could happen.

FYI, dealing with women when you're drunk, is so much easier than dealing with them when you're sober.

So I went out tonight with my friend Brandon. We decided to go to Dave and Buster's, because one of his friends used to work there. He thought she still did, until we showed up and found out she didn't. Now before we begin, this isn't a "woe is me" tale. At least, not a drunken "woe is me, why doesn't anyone love me" tale. I'm kinda too pissed off to be depressed. Which, FYI, if you watch Lost and Delirious, concentrate on being pissed off as opposed to being depressed and you won't be suicidal at the end, just homicidal. Just saying. So we had the worst bartender ever. And not because she was stupid and screwed up our drinks but rather because of her attitude which was horrible. Now I understand that bartenders are human and their lives can suck, however, they are bartenders and as such a certain decorum is expected when they come to work. And when you fuck with my drinking experience, be prepared to be fucked over with the tip. Now those who have seen me drink and have money at my disposal can agree that I'm rather generous. tankfreak's R2D2 bong can attest to that. But screw with me and you will get screwed. And it wasn't even one thing, we were there for three hours and her attitude didn't change the entire time. Flagging her down, at times, was the hardest I've ever had to work at a bar. And we were spending money, that's what kills me. I'd think you'd pay more attention, but apparently not. So she got screwed with the tip, but that's on her. No amount of alcohol will save you, if you've really pissed me off.
